The responsibilities

Our research includes genetic association studies in patients and healthy volunteers, analyses of cell-free DNA, the measurement of drugs and other metabolites in vitro and in vivo, and the functional characterization of candidate genetic variants using cell mod-els and enzyme assays.

Your profile

The successful candidate would be expected to have a solid grasp in the fields of genet-ics and/or genomics and broad experience in laboratory techniques in molecular biology. Experience in pharmacology and/or bioinformatics tools and data analysis would be help-ful. The successful candidate must exhibit excellent communication skills in English, the ability to handle complex projects, and a demonstrated potential for excellence in re-search productivity. A Ph.D. in biomedical sciences or a related field, Pharm.D, or equiv-alent degree is required. The successful candidate will seek to share their research find-ings through publications, presentations, and other knowledge transfer activities, and is expected to participate in the supervision of PhD and MSc students.

The package

The junior postdoctoral position is intended to support researchers who have only recent-ly completed their PhD and aim to develop an independent, international research ca-reer. We offer a stimulating research environment in a multidisciplinary Institute, which is active both in research and clinical diagnostics, providing a unique opportunity to work in the growing field of precision medicine at the interface between research and its applica-tion in a diagnostic context. Our group works closely with other research groups in preci-sion medicine and genomics, offering the possibility for scientific exchange and collabo-ration in fields such as metabolomics. The position is currently limited to two years, can however be extended after successful evaluation with an option to lead own research projects
